Clint McCune is a Northwest original, known for his electric stage presence, rousing lyrics, larger-than-life voice, and equally large heart. At home in coffeehouses, on festival stages, in theaters and listening rooms, in ancient monasteries, or playing informal shows under the open sky, Clint has thrilled and inspired audiences from his native Woodinville, WA to Europe, Nepal, and beyond. His music combines lyrical depth (think Marc Cohn), with raw energy and passion (think Michael Franti), and a sensibility that is all his own (think a pirate of ruthless compassion, sailing the stages of the world).
At home, Clint is a well-known figure in the local arts and music community. Clint co-created the community-inspired SoulFood Books and Cafe in Redmond, WA, which has become a local landmark and a destination for socially conscious musicians from around the country and the world. He served 3 terms on the Redmond Arts Council and was a vital part of projects such as Arts in the Park, Anandamela (celebration of Indian culture), the Redmond Digital Arts Festival, and city-wide open mics. Clint’s roots run deep in the Northwest. Born and raised outside of Seattle, he was greatly influenced by his father, Don McCune of Exploration Northwest, and Don’s strong love of this area. His music, community involvement, and continual collaborations with other artists reflect a true Pacific Northwest heart.
