Irene Pena
Moxie. Wit. A story to share on a sturdy guitar with a melody that gets stuck in your head. After chronicling the mostly “lowlights” of her life in an album called “Nothing To Do With You”, she gear-shifted from her full band performances in L.A., to the pubs and coffee houses of Seattle. The cheery and honest “One More Night” was the first to get radio airplay. After years of what she calls “acousticating”, she assembled a backing band (they go pop!) and brought old and new tunes to electric life. Next steps from this clever tongue? More stories to tell. More life to chronicle. She’ll be back in the studio soon, and continues to bring those stories to you in person: pub, coffeehouse, or festival stage.

“• Tim Basaraba is weird-o-rama. As the goggled TBASA, “I usually cover Bell Biv Devoe, Nirvana, Paula Abdul and the Pixies with my own special flair.” BBD’s “Poison” on acoustic guitar is a special treat. He was Idaho-weird long before Napoleon Dynamite, and that’s good for Seattle.”
