Meet Rose Kreider: Author of Whispers Through the Doorway

While researching the Manor House situated at château Saint Michelle winery in Woodinville, I uncovered references to a young servant named Elizabeth, believed to have died there in 1915. What began as a single name quickly led to a series of dead ends: no known grave, no photograph, and almost no record of her life beyond her death.

My book is a deep investigative dive into Elizabeth’s story. Through historical research, timelines, and personal experience connected to the Manor House, I trace what little evidence exists and explore how and why her life was so easily erased.
