Sunchasers
Jason Lucas (from Denver, Colorado) and Tandy Lucas (originally Shields, from Orange County, California) met in a vocal jazz a cappella group called Vocal Union while going to school at BYU-Idaho in 2012. After growing a fabulous friendship and courtship they married in May 2014 in San Diego, California. Both having grown up doing all things musical, and having been a part of other bands separately, knew that continuing to make music together would always be a huge part of their life. After they married and moved out to Seattle to start their new life together, they created their band they now call the Sunchasers.
A. W. Feldt
A.W.Feldt writes a lot, but records little. The songs are constructed from fragments that rub together over long periods of time, causing friction which eventually binds them together. As this friction builds in the mind, the heat rises, and creates a pressure cooker of melody and language, which is soon to blow with songs for your enjoyment.
This is the folk outfit of Austin Weaver. The name Feldt arrived from a subconscious desire to be in a different situation or circumstance. It was a way to sort of be someone else and explore consequences in a fictitious setting. His songs build from life’s intimate experience. They touch on personal feelings of longing and intense heart ache, though cradled in hopeful melodies. Listening to these songs can cuddle your sorrows and soothe your woes, validating your worries, but with the assurance that things will be better.
