Michael J. Ashe is a singer songwriter from Seattle Washington. His music is folk and alt-country. In 2015 Michael released “Autumn Road” a solo project of 8 original songs recorded and produced by Michael Connolly at Empty Sea Studio in Seattle.
Michael began playing and performing original music in the 80’s with B.O.T. a punk and metal band that he formed with brothers Blake and Chad Cook in Issaquah, Washington. While still teenagers B.O.T. had early success appearing on a Northwest Hardcore compilation with the likes of the Melvins.
Today, Michael draws largely from the influences of singer-songwriter classic rock and folk albums of the 1960 and 70’s while lyrically developing portraits of the everyday man painting landscapes that are shaded from his own personal observation and experiences.
